About

If you told 18-year-old me that I'd have a challenging and fulfilling career as a marketing consultant, I'd have told you to shut the front door.

15+ years ago, having recently pulled up my New England roots and landed in Seattle, I was putting my prestigious liberal arts degree to work as a bartender. My background in journalism, and a friend who saw more in me than I did, landed me a chance gig doing some freelance copywriting for a design agency. Once I saw that people actually pay you to come up with creative solutions to interesting problems, my (professional) bartending days were over.

My experience has exposed me to a diverse array of organizations, channels, and roles. The only universal truth I've discovered is that no matter the medium, no matter the culture, no matter the industry, the one thing that truly connects people is a story. I believe that there's an art and a science to telling stories, and I feel very fortunate that my work allows me to hear and create some great ones.
